IMTS successfully implemented its ERP Solution at a renowned colours and chemicals manufacturer’s head office and two manufacturing units.

The manufacturer has expanded through organic and inorganic growth and has thus grown its Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude production capacity from 600t to 7380t annually. The manufacturer has further implemented a forward integrated growth strategy and begun manufacturing Phthalocyanine Pigments and Dyestuffs. In has additionally acquired an existing Pigment and Dyestuff manufacturing unit to diversify its revenue stream.

Which the rapid acquisitions and diversification has allowed the company to grow rapidly, it has also led to several business challenges

CHALLENGES

  • The need to coordinate multi-site activities, some of which are a part of an integrated supply chain
  • The use of legacy systems that were unable to keep up with the need to provide timely financial statements.
  • Lack of integration between systems at various sites, particularly those inherited through company acquisitions. – Acquiring accurate WIP & FG production data for 360 degree view of production floor.
  • Resistance to adopting new business processes and new learning to use new systems amongst employees.
